Upday nurses offer a range of Psychiatric skilled care that includes: medication teaching, medication management, mental health nursing, pain management, disease process education, as well as other skilled services directed by your physician.
Adult Psychiatric Home care
Ideal clients are those with a mental health diagnosis who need medication compliance monitoring due to risk of overdose, commitment, or needing support to manage medications independently.
Common services include medication set-up, symptoms assessment and monitoring, psychotropic medication injections, in depth ongoing assessments and liason services with county case managers and psychiatrists.
Skilled nursing
Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are committed to helping patients make good decisions about their care by providing them with treatment, instruction, and critical thinking about their condition. RNs and LPNs can be referred to meet your personal care or senior home health care needs, to manage medications, or to provide skilled care ordered by a doctor. The RN referred to you will conduct an initial evaluation at the start of service to ensure quality of care, and then set up a medical plan-of-treatment for the family, client, and any additional caregivers to follow.
RNs and LPNs can perform any regularly offered service in addition to the senior home health care services listed
below:
Documentation of a Medical Plan of Treatment for In-Home Skilled Care (RN only)
Assessment, Evaluation, and Documentation of an Activities of Daily Living Plan of Care (RN only)
Regularly report to client’s Physician
Evaluation of client's physical and emotional status - (Any licensed care provider)
Evaluation on client's family and household to determine how they can cope and care for their loved one
Carry out Physician's medical plan of treatment (Both RN and LPN) which may include but not be limited to:
- Monitor of complex health conditions
- Assistance with medical equipment
- Catheters
- Peg Tube
- Colostomy, ileostomy
- Tube Feeding
- Dressing Changes
- Wound Care
- Teaching about care (injections, suctioning, new diagnosis, etc.)
- Medication Management

Jennifer Anderson
Jennifer Anderson is a board certified Registered Nurse. She received her Associate of Science in Nursing and Occupational Therapy before going on to receive her bachelor's of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She has worked in homecare; both in management and direct care. Her homecare experience illustrated the gap between medical and psychiatric care, and how the mind/body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged Jennifer to pursue a psychiatric-mental health nurse certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center so she could develop a practice that integrates medicine and mental health for most effective treatment. Her private practice focuses on integrative mental health services for emotional and physical well being.
In addition to her professional experience, Jennifer has pursued complementary and alternative therapeutic modalities for her personal health. Her interests in yoga, meditation, and long-distance cycling.
